00 · What Gigminter is, and isn’t

Read this first.

Informational service only.

Gigminter is an informational tool. The diagnoses, profile strategies, proposal templates, action plans and any other output we generate are intended to help you reflect on, and rework, your Upwork profile. They are not a substitute for professional advice.

Specifically, nothing we publish constitutes:

  • · legal advice;
  • · career counselling or recruitment guidance;
  • · financial or tax advice;
  • · nor a replacement for any of the above.

If you need legal, career, financial, or tax counsel, please consult a qualified professional licensed in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for your own decisionson whether and how to act on Gigminter’s output.

We don’t guarantee specific outcomes (invites, contracts, rate increases, earnings). Upwork’s marketplace, your industry, and your follow-through all influence what actually happens. What we do promise is candour: we’ll surface what we see.

01 · Terms of use

Terms of use.

Effective 2026-05-04. Operated by Gigminter Labs, Ota, Nigeria.

1. The service in one paragraph

Gigminter is a freelance-career diagnostic and profile-strategy tool. You buy Mints; each Mint funds one phase of the journey, a diagnosis or a deployment, on your Upwork profile. End-to-end is two Mints. The output is yours to keep, edit, share, or ignore.

2. Mints & redemption

One Mint funds one phase, regardless of pack size. The two phases are diagnose (an evidence-backed read on your profile) and deploy(the rewrite + proposal templates + 30-day plan). Mints don’t expire, but they redeem against the Mint product as it exists at the time of redemption, not the time of purchase. We may reprice or modify the product on material cost shifts; existing Mints continue to redeem against whatever the current product is. Mints are non-transferable between accounts.

3. Refunds

If you bought a Mint pack and haven’t redeemed any of the Mints in it, you can request a full refund within 7 days of purchase by emailing hello@gigminter.com. If a run fails on our side, we automatically credit the Mint back to your balance. Partial refunds for partly-used packs are at our discretion.

4. Acceptable use

You confirm you’re at least 18 and have the right to enter binding contracts where you live. Don’t try to break, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service. Don’t upload material you don’t have rights to share. Don’t use Gigminter for profiles you don’t own or have permission to optimise. Don’t resell our output as a competing service.

5. Outcomes, errors, and limits of liability

Gigminter is provided “as is” and “as available.” We work hard to keep the service running smoothly and to ship honest, useful output every time, and we believe most users get a lot out of it. But no service is perfect: model behaviour shifts, third-party systems fail, networks blink, code has bugs, and human interpretation varies.

We make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including (without limitation) merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or completeness of output, uninterrupted availability, or absence of errors. To the fullest extent the law allows, Gigminter Labs is not liable for any loss of profit, loss of opportunity, loss or corruption of data, errors or omissions in output, downtime, interruption, or any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, however arising, including any harm you may perceive from acting on Gigminter’s output.

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you’ve paid us in the prior 12 months. Re-read the disclaimer at the top of this page: you remain solely responsible for decisions you make based on what we publish.

6. Account, changes & governing law

Delete your account any time from Account → Danger Zone; we may close accounts that violate these terms. We may update these terms; the “last updated” date will reflect when. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute we can’t resolve between us will be settled by binding arbitration— seated in Lagos, Nigeria, conducted in English by a single arbitrator, and final and binding on both of us — except that either party may still ask a court for urgent interim relief, such as an injunction.

02 · Privacy

Privacy notice.

Effective 2026-05-04.

1. What we collect

Account details (your email, name, hashed password, display currency, billing history); the inputs you upload (CV, Upwork profile screenshots, intake answers); the output we generate from those inputs; and basic usage telemetry to keep the service running.

2. How we use it

To produce your diagnosis and playbook, run your account, and improve the service in aggregate. We send account-relevant emails only, never marketing junk.

3. What we don’t do

We don’t sell your data. We don’t share it with other Gigminter users. We don’t use your CV or screenshots to train external AI models, your inputs stay on the diagnostic path.

4. Vendors & cross-border processing

We use Supabase for authentication and the account database, Anthropic for the diagnostic and writing components, and Paystack for taking payments (we never see your card details). Our analytics tools (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity) and, where we run ads, the advertising platforms also process limited usage data on our behalf, see the cookies section below. These vendors process data on our behalf under contract. Some processing happens in the US and Europe; we rely on standard contractual clauses where applicable.

5. Retention & your rights

Account data lives until you delete your account. Uploads (CV, screenshots) and run output are retained while your account is active and are deletable from your account. Billing and operational records may be kept longer where law, accounting practice, or anti-fraud needs require it, or simply for as long as our systems retain them; we don’t commit to a specific retention window and some records may persist indefinitely. You can request a copy of what we hold, correct anything wrong, or delete what’s deletable via Account → Danger Zone or by emailing hello@gigminter.com. Gigminter is not for anyone under 18.

6. Cookies & local storage

We use three kinds of cookies. Strictly-necessary ones keep you signed in (your authentication session, handled by Supabase) and let the checkout work (Paystack), the service can’t run without these. Analytics ones, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, tell us how the site is used and where it trips people up; Clarity also captures anonymised session replays for the same purpose. And if we run ads, the advertisingplatforms may set cookies to measure and target those campaigns. The analytics and advertising cookies are non-essential. We’re building a one-click cookie-preferences control here; until it’s live you can turn those off through your browser’s cookie settings and the providers’ own opt-outs (for example, Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on). We don’t sell the data these cookies generate. Clearing cookies in your browser removes them too, though clearing the necessary ones will sign you out.
